Sunday Best
Mary Berry’s Sunday Best Chocolate Fudge cake seems to change every time I make it. I never have the correct jam for the middle (apricot) so used fig this time which I think goes well with the chocolate, a bit more would have been better though.
The photograph doesn’t do it justice really and I only remembered to photograph it after half had been consumed. The icing is the killer bit – icing sugar, melted butter and cocoa powder. I’ve been making a bit less of it as last time I thought it was a bit overpowering, on reflection, it is meant to be ‘chocolate fudge’, which implies total indulgence.
Always goes down well… it’s chocolate.
