Lucky Lawrence…

…Two birthday cakes!

Mine was a variation on my bog standard chuck-it-all-in recipe, this time with mashed bananas, walnuts and a bit of lemon juice, topped off with vanilla butter icing. I baked it in the non-fan assisted oven and it came out beautifully, very moist but with a good crust. Not overdone! (Getting a bit distracted of late).

Dan’s lemon cake for Lawrence disappeared pretty sharpish so I’m glad we had a back-up!

It was delicious. And so spoilt to have had 2.

Don’t tell Dan, but I think you swung it with the icing ;o)

Plus I didn’t give you any pink candles L…. sorry…..

In my defence, butter-icing might not have been quite so pub-friendly.
