Hi Dan,
Thanks for posting this recipe, I've been nagging Becky about it as I wanted to bake it for my 6 yr anniversary on 31st May. My partner Pete liked it so much he said it was the best cake he'd ever tasted! I hope I can do it justice!
Thanks,
Claire

Dan made this for our wedding and it was absolutely delicious! It's become my favourite cake. So many people told us how much they enjoyed it. At the moment I've eaten quite a lot of it, but it won't be too long before I have a go at making it myself. Thanks a lot Dan!

I agree Dom, I'm not a big fan of the traditional fruit, rock hard icing etc wedding cakes. People seem to be opting for more interesting things these days though. This cake certainly is a winner, a really interesting wedding cake that tastes fantastic! Hope I can live up to your expectations Dan ;o/

I don't think wedding cakes are generally designed to be eaten, more for display purposes. This one was a cracker (good work Dan) how many subtle but elegant flavours can you get into a lovely dense moist cake? A lot it would seem.

And the chocolatey bit topped it all off.
